Today was a probably the first day we were able to relax a bit, aka a 힐링데이 (healing day) in Korean. We’ve been going pretty hard as far as itineraries go so it was nice to not have much on the agenda for once.

We start off with a run around Ohori Park. It’s always tricky trying to find a decent running route in Japan especially if you’re staying right in the city (too many traffic lights), so it was lucky we weren’t too far from the park.

The park is a 2km loop and there were quite a few other runners, walkers and cyclists doing the rounds.

Afterwards we find a nice bakery called ‘Bread’ and pick up some things for breakfast.

A bit further down is ‘Shirouzu Coffee Roasters’ for some coffee.

One thing about Japan is that it’s disrespectful to eat while walking so we find a small park to sit down at before tucking in.

Cheye picks up a copy of the latest baseball video game which is only available in Japan.

Later we head to ‘Ippudo’ to get some ramen for dinner. They do a good plant based ramen, which is more like a Bibim pasta bowl and really good.

We had bought some tickets for the sold out baseball tonight but unfortunately there were issues with the Stubhub ticket delivery process and we end up missing the game. We still walk to the stadium to capture the atmosphere and end up finding some tickets for tomorrow’s game so not all is lost. All games are sold out so tickets have been a bit hard to come by.

On the way back to our hotel we stop by a cute dessert cafe called ‘Marbre Blanc’ for dessert and beer before calling it a night.
